Credit and RPL

Recognition of previous study and work experience

All of BBI-TAITE’s awards & courses are nested, meaning that they build on one another, ensuring that students receive credit for courses previously accomplished. Students who have completed relevant study elsewhere may also be eligible for credit which would reduce the overall length of their course with BBI-TAITE.

Leadership
Students who have held a leadership position, for two or more years may be eligible for up to 40 credit points (4 units) in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in the Master of Leadership and Theology.

Religious Education
Students who have been professional religious educators for four or more years may be eligible for up to 20 credit points (2 units) in Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in the Master of Religious Education.

Articulation into BBI-TAITE postgraduate courses

Each postgraduate course has its own criteria for credit and Recognition of Prior Learning, please review the course you are interested in, under Higher Education.

10 Year Credit Rule

In response to sector needs, BBI-TAITE has introduced a 10-year rule for recognition of prior study, which may articulate into BBI-TAITE’s courses, subject to our credit and RPL policy. Those, whose study period may fall outside the 10-year rule, will be considered on a case by case basis.

If you have completed a Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma or Masters in a Theology related course, anytime after 2010, at any Australian tertiary institution, you may be eligible for credit, reducing the total number of units which must be completed to attain the qualification.
